Founded in 2008 by Clemenceau Edwards II, Kingside Moves is built on practical moving experience and a commitment to doing the work with care.
The beginning
Built from hands-on experience.
Before founding Kingside Moves in 2008, Clemenceau Edwards II spent approximately three to four years in the moving industry, advancing into management and helping develop mover training manuals and damage-prevention programs. That experience taught him that a successful move takes more than strength. It takes preparation, technique, and genuine care for the customer.
When Kingside began, Clem was often the entire moving crew. He completed moves on his own, including carrying furniture up and down stairs, building the business one customer and one move at a time.
Those hands-on beginnings still shape Kingside today: properly trained crews, thoughtful furniture preparation, clear communication, and integrity in how every move is handled.

Big Mama Gets Her Name.
In Kingside's early days, our big yellow moving truck was hard to miss—but it didn't yet carry our name. In 2014, Big Mama finally received her official Kingside Moves signage.
Seeing our name on that truck was more than a cosmetic change. It was an important milestone in making Kingside recognizable and building the business we'd worked so hard to establish.
